At the end of the year, we will be holding a Shimenawa workshop!!

We would like to tell you about the Shimenawa workshop held on December 16, 2022.

We are the shimenawa???
It may be natural to think that.

I thought it would be great if we could do various things and have fun together, so I asked for a workshop (^○^)

And since it was such a special event, we decided to use game leather to give a sense of ethics, and by serving venison dishes, we made it an event where you could experience leather and food with all five senses!

He is a "gardening expert" who usually makes gardens, and he will be holding this workshop in his free time during the winter.

We have decided to open a store in March of this year (2023) at the site of the former Gruber Leathers (Shinonoi Fuse Gomyo, Nagano City)!!!

The workshops on this day were conducted in the following order:

  1. Making shimenawa using Shinshu deer leather (the white and red parts are leather)
  2. Lunch of venison dishes

Venison dishes are served at Googie's Cafe in Chikuma City, a restaurant that serves delicious hamburgers and pizza, and their frozen yogurt is to die for!
Frosta, located in Kamiyamada Onsen town, is also a frozen yogurt shop here.

The "Happy New Year" part and the white and red colours in the flyer above are made from our leather, and by engraving it you can make it into an original piece!

We will continue to work seriously while relaxing at the drink bar.

By freely designing within the limits of pre-defined parts, you can create a unique shimenawa that no one else will have!

The woman in the red outfit was Ms. Hoshizawa, the shimenawa teacher, and the children all joined in and had a great time!!

The workshop, which had a capacity of 10 people, was filled to capacity and was a huge success!
I didn't have any photos of the wild game cooking workshop due to timing issues, so please check out this similar workshop.
I hope to be ready by the end of next year too!

As we welcome the new year, I feel that the shimenawa I made myself is filled with emotion and expresses my gratitude for the past year and my hopes for a good year in the future.

We're always busy with production every day, but we would also like to provide an opportunity for people to interact with each other on a regular basis and have fun!
